Jack Lipton from the Penetrators really has been a bad boy lately. He left behind his geeky metal nerd look for a newer upstate NY clean cut biker style. He covers 2 of the greats on this 4 song CD EP. Dirty Water by the Standells (great 7”, b-side is Rare) and Search and Destroy. His other two numbers remind me of solo-era Lou Reed city-pop. Jack’s a good singer and he got a buncha rockin’ players together, but this is no Penetrators style shopping bag rock, it’s more like bar-rock….Classic New York punk fashion tough Rock’N’Roll and catchy melodies.
